The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) new recruitment drive to fill 1.30 lakh (1,29,929) constables. A total of 1,29,929 posts will be filled out of which 1,25,262 are reserved for male candidates, and 4,667 for female candidates, the ministry said, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday, April 5.

“8n exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 18 of the Central Reserve Police Force Act, 1949 (66 of 1949) and in supersession of the Central Reserve Police Force Group 'C' (General Duty/Technical/Tradesmen) Cadre Recruitment Rules, 2010 in so far as they relate to the post of (General Duty Cadre), Constable, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty) in Group 'C' post, General Duty Cadre in the Central Reserve Police Force," the notification reads.
A total of 1,29,929 posts of Constable (General Duty) which includes 4667 posts for women in General Central Service, Group `C`, Non-Gazetted, (Non-Ministerial Combatant) have been announced in the notification. The upper age limit shall be relaxable up to five years for the candidates of the first batch of Ex-Agniveers.
And the upper age limit shall be relaxable for up to three years for the candidates of Ex-Agniveers. Ex-Agniveers shall be exempted from Physical Efficiency Test (PET), it reads. It further reads that 10 percent of vacancies shall be reserved for Ex-Agniveers for recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty).
CRPF Recruitment 2023: what is the qualification required for applying to the post of constable?
To apply for CRPF Constable Recruitment, the candidate must be at least 10th passed or equivalent from a recognised board and the age of the candidate must be between 18 to 23 years.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2023: What is the selection process?
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of physical efficiency test, medical test and written examination. Those who will be qualified in the physical efficiency test called for further recruitment process.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2023: How to apply?
Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit their online applications at the official website of CRPF - crpf.gov.in or rect.crpf.gov.in. The ministry has yet not shared any information on the commencement date of online applications. More details about the recruitment process will be available on the official website of CRPF once the notification is released.

The appointed candidates will get a salary on a pay matrix of Rs 21700-69100/

A total of 129929 posts will be recruited out of which 125262 posts for male candidates and 4467 for female candidates.
10 percent vacancies shall be reserved for Ex-Agniveers for recruitment to the post of Constable.
Candidates should be passed matriculation or equivalent from a board or university recognized by the central government or state government or equivalent army qualification in case of Ex-Army personnel.
The age limit of the candidate should be between 18 to 23 years of age to apply for the post.
The selection of candidates will be done through physical efficiency test, medical test and written examination.
Candidates must qualify physical efficiency test and written exam for further processing.
The probation period is for 2 years and pay matrix is 21700-69100/-.
The dates of application process has not been shared in the official notice yet.
It further reads that 10 per cent of vacancies shall be reserved for Ex-Agniveers for recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty).
